Princess Meghan: The Palace masterplan to make Markle part of ‘The Firm’
Detailed plans that lay out how Meghan Markle will be welcomed into the Royal Family are being put in place, as Palace officials become more certain than ever that Harry will propose imminently.
According to The Mail on Sunday , the ink has already dried on an announcement of their engagement. And Meghan has met with her prospective in-laws, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall.
The couple have even had their first official public appearance scheduled for the end of this month, when Meghan will accompany Harry to the Invictus Games in Toronto.
The city, where Meghan lives and shoots her TV series Suits, is considered the perfect place for her first outing on palace business.
Rumours that the couple were to be engaged hit fever pitch last month when Harry whisked Meghan away for a romantic break to Botswana.
As it looks like the party-hard prince is finally ready to settle down, Kensington Palace are readying themselves for a new resident with officials looking to open up a family home at Apartment 9.
But it’s not all palace perks for Meghan. Eyebrows were raised when she appeared on the front cover of Vanity Fair recently to plug the 100th episode of her show.
During the interview, she said of her relationship with the Prince: “We’re a couple. We’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time.”
Her candid comments would have been seen as a big no no in the eyes of the palace. It means once the engagement announcement is made, she’ll be prevented from doing publicity like this as the palace takes control.
Plus as a Catholic divorcee, she won’t be able to get married at Westminster Abbey like Kate and William did. Instead her and Harry will have to consider St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
Either way, the future looks bright for these lovebirds.
