They could be sisters! Jennifer Lopez, 48, looks like best friend Leah Remini, 47, as they sport same hair color on second day of shooting new movie
Jennifer Lopez and Leah Remini have always had different styles.
But for their new movie Second Act they almost look like sisters.
While filming inside a Queens, New York supermarket on Tuesday the 48-year-old Las Vegas performer and the 47-year-old King Of Queens vet showed off similar hair color and matching blue vests as they stood side by side.
Lopez and Remini both play employees at Value Shop. J-Lo has said Remini is the ‘Ethel to her Lucy.’ The reference is to Ethel Mertz and Lucy Ricardo, the characters from TV’s I Love Lucy.
As Remini pointed out on Monday in an Instagram photo, her character is named Joan while Lopez’s is named Maya.
The plot centers on Maya, who works at a Costco type store. She ‘reinvents her life when she shows Madison Avenue what street smarts can do,’ according to imdb.com.
Lopez looked cheerful on set as she smiled from ear to ear while wearing what appeared to be a wig.
The World Of Dance judge had locks that were very fully and highlighted, which is a big departure from her hairstyle on her NBC cop drama Shades Of Blue.
Her outfit consisted of a purple turtleneck under her blue vest with an ID badge and black skintight jeans.
She added black boots and a gold necklace.
Remini went for a white shirt under her vest, skintight jeans and short boots.
The actresses, who have been close friends for over 20 years, looked relaxed as they talked on set.
At one point the Ni Tu Ni Yo hitmaker sat on a red sofa as she touched her tummy.
The day before, Jennifer had on the exact same outfit for filming as did Remini.
They goofed around on set with Leah sticking out her tongue as they took selfies.
There were also other cast members and extras seen on set.
The star noted on Monday she was working with costume designer Patricia Field, who used to select the clothes for Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall on HBO’s Sex and the City.
The Shades of Blue actress – who boasts 155.1M social media followers – gushed on Instagram: ‘Sooooo happy working with this fashion icon!’
The STXfilms romantic comedy marks Jennifer’s first onscreen feature role since the 2015 crime-drama Lila & Eve, which received mixed reviews and earned $38K at the box office.
Director Peter Segal (Grudge Match, Tommy Boy) is at the helm of Second Act.
He was spotted instructing the two-time Grammy nominee in between takes.
The Bronx Beauty is also producing the project – said to be a return to her Maid in Manhattan, Monster-in-Law fare – filming through the end of this month in New York.
At 6am, Lopez shared a make-up free Insta-story of herself on the way to the set captioned: ‘Day one!!! Second Act!!’
Missing from action Monday was Powerless starlet Vanessa Hudgens, who portrays Zoe, a young executive at a consumer goods company – according to Deadline.

Last Thursday, the 42-year-old MLB third baseman-turned-commentator revealed his daughters – Natasha, 12; and Ella, 9 – with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis ‘look at her like she’s the Messiah.’
‘She is such a great role model,’ the Shark Tank star told People.
