Reserve Not Attained: Auction For Johnny Depp’s Kentucky Farm Ends Without A Buyer
A Kentucky horse farm owned by actor Johnny Depp failed to sell at an auction Sept. 15 after several bids were rejected for being too low.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that the 41-acre property, which is located on Versailles Road just past Keeneland, had been listed at $2.9 million. The top bid at the auction Friday was $1.4 million, which came from radio’s Rick Dees, who is a longtime resident of the area.
According to the Herald-Leader, the Halfhill Auction Group and Depp’s business manager, Edward White, said they would continue talking with interested buyers to see if a sale could be made.
