Nobody’s sure if Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are actually back together
Selena Gomez might be one less lonely girl thanks to Justin Bieber — but no one seems to be sure.
The pop star — who recently broke up with The Weeknd — has resumed hanging out in public with her longtime on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber recently, sparking speculation that the duo is back together.
But reports about the possible rekindling are conflicting.
“Selena and Justin are back together,” a source told Us Weekly in a story published Thursday. “Selena and The Weeknd just fizzled and ended amicably — it wasn’t dramatic and it wasn’t about Justin. But Selena always had feelings for Justin.”
Another insider, however, insisted to E! News that nothing is official.
“Justin and Selena are seeing each other and will continue to be spending time together but haven’t described it as an official couple,” the source told the website. “Right now, they are figuring out if it will work again between the two.”
The Weeknd ended his nearly 10-month relationship with Gomez, 25, several weeks ago, with their demanding and conflicting schedules playing a factor, People reported earlier this week. The split apparently had nothing to do with Bieber, as Gomez only began hanging out with the “Sorry” singer after breaking up with The Weeknd.
In recent days, Gomez and Bieber have been spotted brunching and riding bikes together, and Gomez even attended the 23-year-old’s hockey game.
Bieber is the one who initiated their reunion after he realized his lingering feelings for Gomez during her medical scare over the summer, according to TMZ. Gomez got a kidney transplant from her friend and fellow actress Francia Raisa. She needed the transplant due to her battle with lupus.
That same report contends Bieber and Gomez are dating again, even though it took some convincing for Gomez due to their whirlwind history.
“Selena had to be won over,” a source told the celebrity gossip website.
Gomez and Bieber first sparked their romance in 2011, and dated intermittently between then and 2015.
